Basics

Here is everything you need to know to be on the show. Please fill in the survey below. If have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

We’ll send you a link, all you need to do is click on it to get into the discussion. Please make sure you have a working mic, headphones, and web cam.

Time: We ask that you join us at 8:45pm - East Coast time, USA - so that we can make sure to establish a solid connection with you before the show begins. That way we aren't trying to resolve any connection issues while people are watching.

Medium: We use a program called Lightstream which is captured and streamed through Facebook Live. There are currently only four browsers that support Ligthstream.

Browser: Chrome 57, Firefox 42, Edge 4, and Brave 0.23.19. And all later versions.

Smart Phones and Tablets: Unfortunately as far as we know, these do not work yet.

Requirements: This is a video show. You will need to have a camera and a microphone and if you can, please use headphones as it reduces echo. The more light you have in the room, the better you show up and the greater your video quality will be. Also try to have more light in front of you so you are not silhouetted.

Hook in via LAN rather than WiFi if you can. WiFi is doable but is often sketchy.

If there are two of you, contact me ASAP, there's some technical stuff we need to discuss.

Format

Intro Segment: Pete will do an opening intro. When he announces your name, please say hi so the people will know who you are. He will read your bio.

Interview (30-45 min): This is where we talk about you and your work. We usually start the show out with a topic similar to your work, life, or interests and then blend in your work. It makes the show more of a conversation than a interview which makes you more relatable and endears you more to the audience.

Game (15 min): OPTIONAL. We'll play one of our games with you. There are several different ones and we'll pick the best one for you and we often tailor the game for our guest. The survey often dictates the game and the content. Indicate if you’d like to participate in the game on your survey. It’s totally fine to say no.

End Credits: At the end of the show we will give you the opportunity to plug away with all of your promotional links and/or announcements. I'll have these from your survey and will announce them but feel free to chime in with more or add details.

Sharing

If you want to share any files or images with us that will make your interview better, please feel free to send them to mythwits@gmail.com BEFORE the day of your appearance. I need time to format and prepare them for sharing.

Files: If you have a game or an book (physical, ebook, or audiobook) you'd like to share with us, we'll go through it so we can talk to the product better. Please send this ASAP because we will go through it but we need time to do that. Audiobook is our favorite.

Video/Audio: We can show off video and play audio but this can't be anything that's being sold anywhere or on YouTube. I have to do this because of YouTube's blanket algorithm. If they detect a copyright infringement, even if it's yours, we’ll likely get a warning. We also don’t know how stringent Facebook’s algorithm is.

Rating

We realize that you most likely represent an organization and as such have a public image of some sort. While our show can be NSFW (not safe for work) it is not overtly obscene. However we do say bad words and might have some adult content. That said, we are happy to tone it down if you are not comfortable with NSFW material or language being associated with your appearance. We want you to feel comfortable on our show and to have the best experience you can.
